Being prepared for the process of buying a home is the key to a smooth and enjoyable home purchase.
A professional REALTOR can help guide you every step of the way and also help you find the perfect place to suit your budget and lifestyle.

Before previewing homes,  it is advisable to get information about what size mortgage that you can afford.  Use this quick calculator to help determine an
estimate of what size loan you can afford.

The next stepwill be to contact your mortgage lender and set an appointment to get "pre-qualified"
or "pre-approved"If you need to find a lender, contact your REALTOR and ask for a referral.
Be prepared to supply the following information to your mortgage lender
Employment History
Your Credit History & Scores
Monthly Income and expenses

Funds in Savings

Your mortgage lender will advise you of the best type of loan that's available to you and the current interest rates.  Ask for a letter of pre-qualification.
The pre-qualification letter will make the difference when you find that perfect home and decide to make an offer. Sellers take your offer very seriously if you are able to supply
proof that you are eligible to secure the funds to purchase. Also, the pre-qualification letter usually improves the changes of getting acceptance from the seller when negotiating the offer price.

The next step, contact your REALTOR and ask for *Buyer Representation.  This will set the stage for your REALTOR to represent you  throughout the buying process. Hiring a REALTOR to represent you as a buyer gives you the advantage of having
a  Real Estate expert that has been trained to look out for your interest.
